The Rt Hon Matt Hancock MP was appointed Culture Secretary on 8 January 2018. He was elected as the Member of Parliament (MP) for West Suffolk at the 2010 general election. Prior to his ministerial appointment, he served as Minister of State for Digital and Culture from July 2016 to January 2018.
